Red Cross Meals on Wheels volunteers
The New Zealand Red Cross is urgently looking for Meals on Wheels Volunteer Drivers in and around Papakura
We’re looking for friendly volunteer drivers to deliver meals during the week to people in the Papakura area. Our Meals on Wheels service supports elderly, ill and disabled people living at home who would otherwise struggle to provide healthy meals for themselves. We need volunteers keen to deliver hot meals, and stop in for a friendly chat, to people in need in the Papakura area. Volunteers need to be available on weekdays at around lunchtime (we don't deliver on weekends or in the evenings). Volunteers also need their own vehicle and to have a full, clean driver’s licence.
• Can you spare 1.5 – 2 hours around lunchtime once every 2 weeks?
• Do you have your own reliable vehicle
• Do you have a full, clean driver’s licence
Apply now to be a volunteer driver in Papakura:

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
