Hi there who keen to join the Waikanae Beach Community Garden Group. I have noticed a lot likes over the time we have being Support our Community. But only have handful of volunteers who turn up. We need more people to join in being involved and share our vision. Please add your name to the group. It will be open to the public as it always has being.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
