Urgent notice: Reduce Water Use until 8pm Wednesday

Whau Valley Treatment Plant urgent repair work: Please REDUCE WATER USE if possible for the next 24 hours effective NOW.

Please avoid all non-essential use for the next 24 hours: save your washing till Wednesday evening, or put off doing the dishes. We appreciate the work being done to conserve water in the drought but for today and tomorrow we need to step that up even higher.

Background:
There has been a problem with a pipe which requires us to drain one of the tanks at the Whau Valley treatment plant and the repair is expected to take until 8pm Wednesday. ⌚
