Upcoming Free Introductory Meditation W/shops

Get inspired about the spiritual side of life and participate in one of two upcoming free meditation course options, with guest teachers covering the essential steps and most important secrets in getting you started. Each repeat course will cover a wide canvas of meditation practices including breath control, visualisation, mantras, heart centre meditation; the main branches and paths of yoga; and how to bring the benefits of meditation into daily life. These courses draw from the beautifully simple teachings of the late spiritual master Sri Chinmoy, and are taught by the author/writer Jogyata Dallas.

Option A: Consecutive Tues/Thursday evenings: October 15, 17, 22, 24; 7:30pm – 9:00 pm. Venue: 93 Dominion Road, Mt Eden/Kingsland. Plentiful street parking. Please arrive prior to start time as street level entry door closes on time lock.

Option B: Two consecutive evenings, Monday Oct. 21 and Tues. 29th, both from 6pm – 8:30pm. Venue: the Pioneer Women’s Memorial Hall, 2 Freyberg Place, off High Street, CBD, in the ground floor Betty Wark Room.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
