Calling all Mount Victorians! Did you know that one of Wellington's most sustainable school holiday programmes takes place in your neighbourhood?
Based at Innermost Gardens, Wilderkids has something to suit children aged 5 to 12.
Here is a sneak peek of what we have in store these school holidays.
For the master chef: In the forest, they will find, treats and tracks, unlike any kind. Your master chef will go foraging for ingredients for snacks and tea.
For the artist: Why be a regular artist when you can be a WILD artist? Why be an art critic when you can be an art critter! Wilderkids gives the little artist in your life and opportunity to make and create art.
For the architect/builder: Let's face it. Kids LOVE building stuff. Whether it's a hut, a hideaway, a bug hotel or a firepit.. Wilderkids has all the bases covered.
For the explorer: Does your child remind you of Indiana Jones? Do they have a thirst for adventure, mystery, knowledge? Well, the entire Wilderkids programme is designed for them.

💨 Wellington: Is the real summer finally here?
It’s the talk of the town (and every coffee queue): the Wellington "summer" has felt more like a very long, very damp spring! 🌧️ We’ve definitely had our fair share of grey skies and raincoats lately.
In fact, The Post reports that our "pretty average" summer has been tough on the local venues and events that usually thrive under the sun. But don't pack away the sunscreen just yet!
The good news? The next couple of weeks are looking a bit more "settled" (the Wellington word for "not a gale-force downpour"). With autumn officially here, now is the time to squeeze every last drop out of the season! ☀️
