Poll: Should teachers get paid while doing Council work

Paul from Morrinsville

Teachers could be the new source of people to become local body Politicians. According to the Education Ministry as long as the Board of trustees agree Teachers can take time off for Local Body meetings and get paid by both entities, the Education Ministry and the Local Body, and here I was thinking that was double dipping, shows what an innocent I am. This I believe is wrong and should not occurr. But as long as a teacher is on salary apparantly that is the rules.
