Join us for a guided tour with a difference! Discover the unexpected and intriguing stories behind the bags on display in our featured exhibition Carried Away: Bags Unpacked.
The bags themselves are a visual feast, but we've dug deeper and fallen down rabbit-holes to bring you the bigger picture of the life and times of these popular accessories. We guarantee that the De-tour stories start with bags, but who knows where we may end up?
De-tours are thirsty work and so they will conclude with a Devonshire tea at our 1929 cafe.
Saturday and Sunday afternoons, 10 - 11 and 17 - 18 August. Bookings essential.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
