Lost Memories
Media, including VHS tapes, can degrade over time.
If you have saved your family memories on VHS tapes be sure to check yours for signs of mould. This will appear as a white coating on the side of the tape - the bit you see when you look through the clear plastic window.
Please note too that many people used to record to VHS using LP (long play mode). Recently we have had tapes recorded in EP which is longer play again. Both of these recordings will deteriorate faster and potentially be more distorted than SP (normal recording speed) when stored over time.
Maybe now is the time to think about transferring your precious memories to updated media before they are lost forever.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
