$1 million wasted feeding Local Board members

Wow $1 million spent on feeding Local Board members over the last 5 years! An absolutely appalling waste of ratepayers' money, and exactly why the Kaipatiki Local Board​ stopped all workshop lunches after I became Chair.
(The figures in this article are for the 5 years up until mid-2018, so don't include the period since we stopped the lunches).

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
