Sharing the walkway.

Joe from Merrilands

My dog loves to walk me along Mangorei Road. We often meet with people needing an electric scooter or hand propelled seated chair to move around; those are extremely silent and I cannot hear them when they come from behind us...but doggy can; it scares him or he could think that a mechanical monster has swallowed someone and he tries to save them...so he jumps on the device...this might end someday with someone thrown on the street and injured. Could those using the devices have the common courtesy AND the commonsense of keeping themselves safe and make some noise when they come close to us from the back: ring a bell, blow a trumpet, yell or sing but be heard! Thank you.
