Next step in unwanted plasics saga.

Good to see reusuable bag system going at supermarkets but we need to press on with next step. One suggestion is to as far as possible stop buying any goods in plastic bags or encased in plastic. I appreciate there are some bulk goods that need a container (e,g, potatoes) but many can just be loaded into one of your reusuable bags and be presented at counter then replaced in same bag. Any other ideas would be most welcome.
