We have Returned in an exciting new way

Mike Gibbs from Avondale Neighbours Group

Good Afternoon Avondale.
We have returned - under a new name, and a new focus
now Avondale Neighbour's Group -
Previously Avondale Residents Association

We need your help,
We believe Avondale's voice is not being heard and so we want to change this: We also want to hear from you too, about what issues may concern you?

Our Aim is:
To Focus on Post Earthquake Betterment, by Connecting with the Community and though the Well being of its families residents and local businesses.

The issues of concern are:
Boy racers,
Intimidating behaviors,
Burguralies,
Fear of losing Chisnallwood Intermediate,
No bus service,
No Community Garden in this area
What the Red Zone Land around us is to be used for
Just to name a few....

However we still want to have some fun as well, and meet new people in our area:
Looking for ideas for events like Picnics, Fun Days in the Park, Bingo/Quiz or Trivia Nights or Street Parties

Recently we co hosted with Chisnallwood Music (15th Feb) an evening of Music and Movies, this was very successful

We are looking for anyone interested in helping out in anyway at all, even if it's just helping out at an event in our area and having some fun or just attending an event. We also need people to deliver flyers in their Streets and someone with promotional and graphic skills

We are also looking for local businesses we can promote.
We'd love to hear from you;

Give us a message and we can tell you more of the exciting things you may not know about what's going on in and around Avondale.

It is important we are "One" and in this "Together"

Watch this space - More to come

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
