Leitch Street Community Garage Sale

Julie Tobbell from Somerfield Residents Association

We would love to welcome anyone to join us at our Leitch Street Community Garage Sale event on Saturday 23rd February from 8am to 1pm. This is always a great annual event - to encourage good connections & vibes in our community & street while offering many the opportunity to recycle, forward / sell pre-loved household items to others in our community!! It is a win - win for everyone and lots of fun!!
Please refer to our poster for further details and hopefully we may see you on Next Saturday!!
Please contact me or any other Leitch St resident if you would like to join in the selling and have a space outside a resident's home??
Thanks to some of our neighbours who have given permission for this!
Thanks to some local residents who have already expressed the interest to participate in this fun event!!
Regards Julie Tobbell.

Essie Summers Retirement Village

A Valentine’s-inspired wedding dress show at Ryman Healthcare’s Logan Campbell Village is providing the perfect opportunity for residents to share memories of their romantic day.

But for Emma Muller, it has also turned into an opportunity to celebrate her late daughter Nicola, who died 19 years ago at the age of 37.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
