Random Acts of Kindness Day this Saturday neighbours. If you are in the city centre on Friday you may come across one or more of the following kind surprises:
- A Little Pot of Kindness (honey)
- A free kindness coffee from one of the Cafes of Kindness scattered around the city centre
- Some random kindness at local supermarket New World Metro
- A keepsake selfie with "Geoff- Envoy of Kindness"

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
