Porirua street 'sinking daily' but cause is unknown
Albatross Close is sinking. The cause of the land movement is unknown, but there is speculation about a change in groundwater directions or conditions possibly related to the November 2016 earthquakes. There has been about 20 centimetres of surface movement in parts as a slip occurred about 8 metres below the surface.
