Do you know that if you are a tenant, your landlord must disclose if there is insulation in your home? If you are not sure if your house is insulated talk to your landlord. From 1 July 2019, it will be mandatory for all rental homes to have ceiling and underfloor insulation that is up to a certain standard. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
