Helensville A&P Show CANCELLED

Helensville A&P Association

Neighbours - it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that this year's Helensville Show has been cancelled. The show grounds have been thoroughly saturated by the heavy rain and there is more forecast to come. We cannot in good conscience ask our sponsors, competitors, tradespeople, food vendors and the public to deal with the extreme deterioration of the grounds if the show went ahead. We're heartbroken.

We understand the disappointment that this will cause in our community.

For those that have entered the show - please visit our website for information about refunds. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we put this process in place.

Thank you for your support through this difficult time. We look forward to putting on a sunny, spectacular show next year.

Staying home over the break?

Toka Tū Ake EQC

The long weekend is the perfect time to make your place safer for an earthquake with these steps:

• Find out where you can turn off your water and gas mains
• Check your chimney for any signs of wear and tear, or damage
• Check your home's foundations are secured
• Move heavy items that are up high to safer, lower down locations.
• Secure tall and heavy furniture and appliances

These simple actions can keep your whānau safer in case of a big shake, so tick them off and make the most of your break.
