Brighter, whiter, cheaper - LED roll-out continues
Local companies McKay and Currie Electrical will be lighting things up as they begin the roll out of LED luminaires across our District.
Council installed LED lights at Onerahi and Whangarei Heads before Christmas and we have received positive feedback from you. The old luminaires will be recycled to recover any metals and other recyclable materials.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
