Merry Colourful Christmas!

The Team from Resene ColorShop Botany Downs

Our favourite thing about Christmas is the wonderful Christmas COLOURS that pop up as Santa's arrival approaches. Greens reds and golds dotted around town remind us that it's so easy to put a little colour into someone else's Christmas...

Remember to stay safe these holidays whether you're out of town or or staying at home. Merry Christmas!

💡 A Little Brain Buzz for You⚡

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

I have two faces, but show you only one.
I once had guests, but now have none.
I’m rarely bloody and seldom blue.
I’m often promised and sometimes new

(Trev from Tamatea kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Trev!)

Pick 'N' Mix Textiles for Adults & Teens

Verity from Shelly Park

Pick 'N' Mix is at Highland Park Library this Sunday (22nd March) 12.30pm - 3.30pm

Support sustainability and get creative with the Thread Exchange!
This hands‑on programme encourages the re‑use of fabric and showcases how fun and accessible sewing can be. Using a specialised cutting machine, you’ll select and cut out a pre‑designed sewing project—anything from small accessories to simple craft items.

Once your pieces are ready, you can stay and assemble your project in the library, enjoying a relaxed, social crafting environment, or take the pieces home to complete them yourself or for someone else. It’s a great way to try a new skill, share resources, and keep perfectly good fabric from being wasted.

This session is open to adults and teens of all sewing levels, from absolute beginners to experienced makers. Friendly assistance is available to help those new to sewing.

All materials are provided—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
There will also be some pieces of fabric for sale at bargain prices!
