After contracting polio at the age of 28, Robin Cavendish is confined to a bed and given only months to live. The Neurological Foundation is an independent body and charitable trust that raises funds from donations to fund top neuroscientists and clinicians in New Zealand so they can continue their world class research into neurological conditions.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
