Conservation Week Event at Branford Park
Help us celebrate Conservation week! Join Nelson Nature at DOC’s Our Place Our Nature event this Saturday from 10am to 2pm at Branford Park. Follow the Nelson Nature quiz trail, learn to make a rat tunnel, enjoy the Kiwi Guardian walk or just bring a picnic and relax in our beautiful backyard. Parking is limited so jump on your bike and take a walk up the Maitai – see you there!

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
