An open letter to the person who called HBDC re my dogs

Jane from Mahora

Tonight, less than 150m from your house, I was walking my dogs.. Yep, just now .. circa 9.05pm .. and I spotted something going on .. or rather - one of my "annoying" dogs alerted me .. Long story short - the cops were called, the perpetrator taken away in cuffs and a whole lot of crummy people warned to behave or else ..

(Curious - how did your cat respond to this danger in our neighbourhood?)

While I get not everyone likes dogs, may I suggest to you that not ALL dogs who guard their turf are bad, and point out (I kinda figured it was obvious but clearly not) that if you walk up the driveway to my gate, ie you're on my property - my dogs will bark.. I've trained them to do so .. cos just like you*, I live alone and I rely on my dogs to protect me.

So yeaaaah .. maybe think on some of these factors before crying to council about barking dogs annoying you ... esp when it is lies (the dates you submitted are 100% wrong .. how do I know? uhm, I was home and they didn't "bark all day". I'd have kicked their asses if they did. lol)

*oh yeah .. I kinda think I know who complained but this is going to everyone in case someone else reads it and goes "oh gosh maybe that barking dog is actually helping to protect someone, or something!" ..
