Keep New Zealand Beautiful

Online Content Publisher from Whangarei District Council

Lots of Whangarei communities are banding together to keep Whangarei beautiful during the official Keep New Zealand Beautiful Clean Up Week 2017, from 11 to 17 September.

Council supports community groups taking part in the clean up by making it easier for groups to dispose of the rubbish they collect.

If you are getting a group together to do a clean up, register it at 'Keep New Zealand Beautiful' and get in touch with WDC Technical Officer Grant Alsop or someone from the solid waste team who can arrange free rubbish bags or other help.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
