Glenfield is more than a shopping mall and an arterial road
Glenfield is more than a shopping mall and an arterial road. Today, on behalf of the Kaipatiki Local Board, I presented to the Planning Committee of Auckland Council, in support of the placed-based spatial planning work programme. For over a decade the Glenfield Community Board and then the Kaipatiki Local Board have been advocating for Glenfield. Today's decision was an important milestone on this journey. Glenfield has a significant number of Council owned assets, including housing for our older people, library, pool, leisure centre, service centre and parks. We want to support retail, entertainment and recreation while encouraging more local employment, community development and transport links. Today was a win for advocacy and a win for Glenfield.

59.3% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.3% No, individuals should take responsibility
