Greater Wellington regional Council works with volunteers like you to plant up to 25,000 trees a season and we need your help!
Join us at the South end Te Ara O Whareroa trail gate for a morning of tree planting. We will be planting near the big steps to the side of Te Ara o Whareroa trail. Follow the signs from the bottom of Whareroa Beach carpark (Mackays Crossing entrance), or from the Poplar Avenue entrance if coming by bike or foot. RSVP to the Facebook event here goo.gl...

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
