Muslim community raises awareness of breast cancer
Women of the Islamic Ahlul-Bayt Foundation of New Zealand (IAFONZ) in Pakuranga held a Pink Ribbon breakfast recently to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation. Forty-five women attended the breakfast and the group raised $467.
"The aim of this event was to create awareness and education for the ladies of our community whilst raising money for a great cause," IAFONZ trustee Fazilat Rashid says.
