Beachside residents seek explanation for faecal contamination

A stinky situation continues to irritate local residents of an East Auckland beach suburb.
Mellons Bay has bore the brunt of recent wet weather, with heavy rainfall causing wastewater and stormwater pipes to overflow on to the beach. Local residents have reported seven overflow incidences and are urging Watercare to take appropriate action.
