Te Tiriti o Waitangi workshop
Gain an insight into the unique cultural history of Aotearoa and in doing so, learn the answers to fundamental questions such as, what is Te Tiriti o Waitangi? Compare the Declaration of Independence with that of the Treaty texts. Involves activity-based learning techniques. Our experienced facilitators will work with participants to create a safe environment to enable full and free discussion. This course will be held at the Pehiaweri marae at Glenbervie. One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Warrant to arrest: Steven Te Maru Walters
Police are working to locate Steven Te Maru Walters, who has a warrant for his arrest and is wanted by Police.
Walters, 40, is wanted by Police in relation to breaching his release conditions and is known to frequent the Whangārei area. It’s believed he is actively avoiding Police.
