Join us for your Community Health Forum.

Waikato DHB

Kia ora, we’re holding a Community Health Forum in your area, and would like you to join us. At Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waikato we want more of you to have a say about what is most important to support your health and wellbeing. This helps us to develop better access to local community services.

Come along to our friendly forum and share your knowledge and experiences as we work together on these matters. Te Tara o Te Whai is seeking local community feedback on what matters most to you in terms of development of the Te Tara o Te Whai Hauraki Locality Plan. There’ll also be discussion and updates on the new health system.

Hauraki/Coromandel
When: Thursday 11 May, 11am - 1pm
Where: Hato Hone | St John Hall, 285/345 Tiki Road, Coromandel

If interested please email: norma.taute@waikatodhb.health.nz for more information. Community Health Forums are a gathering of local people who share in a conversation about what matters to their community and hear what’s happening from the Te Whatu Ora Waikato, other health providers and other local organisations/groups.

We look forward to meeting you. He whakarongo tātou – we’re here to listen

Vandalism is costing ratepayers - what can be done to better protect our public spaces?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Vandals have repeatedly damaged public amenities across the Waikato District, leaving ratepayers to pick up the bill. So far in 2025, the cost has climbed to nearly $123,000, reports the Waikato Times.

The council is urging residents to report vandalism as soon as possible.
If you witness vandalism in progress, please contact the police immediately.

We want to know: Do you have ideas on how we can better protect our public spaces?
