Thames Heritage Festival
Thames Heritage Festival 2020, with the theme ‘One Town, Many Tales’, takes place this year on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March at Bella Street Pump House, Thames Goldmine Experience, Historic Kōpū Bridge, Thames Small Gauge Railway, Thames School of Mines with Rock Shop & Mineral Museum, Thames Treasury - Archive & Research Centre, and Thames Museum. The events around these sites in Cochrane St, Queen St and Brown St, and at Kōpū , include gold panning; 19th century gold mining machinery in action; talks and Q&A chats with experts; guided walks and leisurely strolls; small gauge train rides, music, story telling and more.
