Severe weather for Coromandel Peninsula and WBOP
For the Coromandel Peninsula, south of Whitianga, and for the western Bay of Plenty, gale westerlies in exposed places could rise to severe gale strength tonight (Tuesday 25th September). The stormy weather is the result of a deepening low just east of the South Island and associated fronts spreading strong cold southwesterlies over the country.
