Heavy rain warning in place for southern Coromandel tonight
MetService has issued a heavy rain warning for the southern Coromandel and Waikato, with up to 155mm of rain this evening through to tomorrow morning. Large bursts up to 50mm per hour are expected, which can cause flooding in areas such as Tairua, Hikuai and Opoutere. Batten down the hatches and take care out there!
