Fear spreads after eight Coromandel moggies vanish

Every morning, she clips the leash on to her cat's collar and takes him for a walk.
Up and down the street they go, often three times a day.

She holds the leash tight around her hand as they venture into the neighbourhood.
Her cat cannot go outside by himself anymore.

Green Light Expected Soon – Service Might Begin in September?
Some very encouraging news has emerged today about the Thames bus trial. The proposal has been favourably reviewed by the New Zealand Transport Authority (NZTA) and the Waikato Regional Council (WRC) The District Council has requested Regional Council staff to start work on preparing the public transport tender documents. If the NZTA approval is confirmed by 31 July then the bus service could hopefully begin by late August/early September. More here -

Hauraki Rail Trail receives grants for improvements and repairs
