The Passing of Stephen Hawking- and how to disagree without being disagreeable.

Kerry from Glenbervie

youtu.be...

Our news media have been busy the last few days lamenting the loss of one of the shining stars in the world of physics. Not only could Stephen Hawking accurately be described as luminary in the realm of physics, his courage and example in the face of a physically debilitating disease that had originally been predicted to take his life within two years of its onset. were also reason to celebrate his extraordinary life.

He was in later years also renown for being a champion of a particular worldview, and it is on that basis that I want to share this video, out of a sense of balance, to temper somewhat his influence in this area.

The overriding consensus among mainstream media can, without fear of contradiction, be termed secular, so the following video I put forward because, unless you have this particular interest, this is not something that you will see or hear otherwise.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
