The consent has not been publically notified as the Industrial activity has been deemed as minor to the community therefore we, the public can not have our say.
As has been evident at various meetings and from feedback from numerous groups and individuals there is a lack of support for an industrial activity and refuse transfer station operating at this public recreational site.
We would prefer to see fisherman, sailors, rowers, walkers, campers and families using the recreational area not more rubbish trucks, seagulls and waste on a prime site under the magnificent Heads vista.
Please see attached a public notice (by local residents) regarding the application and concern this has not been publicly notified.
Please note that time is of the essence to be heard with your local Councillors or WDC staff.

Te reo is in the spotlight and is being celebrated throughout the country as part of Māori Language Week. This week, Barbershop in Blue returned with a waiata, parents shared stories about raising children as bilingual, Stuff became Puna, and the future of te reo in NZ was debated.
But one debate is still ramping up - should the New Zealand Wars become a compulsory part of the curriculum? What do you think? Take part in our poll below!

Mild conditions mean they survived, and their numbers are increasing every day. Rats are going to be one of the main pests - especially in Auckland. They're capable of producing litters of up to 10 offspring every eight weeks under favourable conditions.
This can have a "massive impact" on our native fauna and flora. Rats are a threat for our native birds, insects, geckos and plants - including species like the yellow head and orange-fronted parakeet. And just like rodents, wasps and other creepy crawlies also like warmer weather. These hungry pests can cause chaos to our food supply as they chew on crops and friendly insects and spoil stored food products.
