From November 11, it will be illegal to sell vapes to under 18’s and advertising and sponsorship of vaping products will be banned altogether. Vaping will also be banned in legislated smoke-free areas such as:
- indoor workplaces
- cafes and pubs
- schools and early childhood centres
- public transport.
We think that everyone, especially parents need to be aware that vapes are now R18 and can’t be used in schools.

A Whangārei community advocate says Healthy Homes heating standards can't come in soon enough after the Tenancy Tribunal ruled landlords only have to provide a power point to meet heating requirements. What do you think - should landlords supply heating, even when it is not legally required?

Feeling blessed today I went into the Whangarei CBD on my mobility scooter went to my favorite cafe Fresh for takeouts the staff were lovely. I sat on my scooter in the sun and watched the shoppers go by while I ate.
So many smiling happy people, then off to Motown for a haircut and more happy people.
Then Pak N Save again on my mobility scooter, it can be difficult to reach high areas 4 different women helped me at different times all with a smile.
Then headed home while going through the town basin my hat blew off, by the time I was able to turn around a young lady asked if she could get it for me.
All assistance today was appreciated thank you the people of Whangarei

Backpackers around the country have cut their prices to survive a fall in bookings due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Occupancy has averaged around 32 per cent between June to September this year compared to previous years. Hone Heke Lodge in Kerikeri has some seasonal workers booked in but capacity is still half of what it usually would be.
What else do you think will bring travellers to Northland?

THIS IS definitely A SCAM. The email was missing information that made me query its authenticity. So I went onto a online chat site which I thought was the correct Norton site.
The so called agent Deborah Mullen after chatting online with her for alittle while, made me suspicious I was being scammed. She wanted me to keep the online chat opened so I could access the link to put payment through. She wouldn't email the link & said the special discount offer was only valid for a day or until she finished her shift or I can contact them again & 1 of the other agents would help me. I asked her to clarify what a day meant & she replied 'Our offices close at 8pm'. So I made up an excuse- said I lost my credit card & needed to organise a ride into the bank to organise funds & 8pm should be enough time to get things organised.
I unfortunately bumped/ closed the site I was chatting with Deborah.
I contacted the 'real' Norton site & they confirmed both Adam Zampa & Deborah Mullen are not Norton agents.
They are investigating this further.
