Despite being touted as a relocation option for Ports of Auckland, Northport's expansion has nothing to do with a Ports of Auckland move - which is still up in the air.
The expansion is all about making better use of the upper North Island's three ports, and allowing the comparatively young Northport to grow. What do you think?
