That's a Wrap for Neighbours Aotearoa 2025

Krissy Neighbourly Lead from Tikipunga

Here is a quick email to say "That's a wrap.” We will see you on the next campaign in March 2026! I have enjoyed connecting with you and making connections happen in neighbourhoods across the rohe in this year’s campaign!

A few things to note:

Neighbours Aotearoa works all year round! Look out for newsletters and campaigns throughout the year on www.neighboursaotearoa.nz... and Facebook.

If you have events at any other time this year, you can still register via the website or post to our social media.

All of my emails as of 9th April 2025 will be forwarded to kiaora@neighboursaotearoa.nz.

Make sure to check that you are signed up to the newsletter, we will send you updates throughout the year.

If you would like to be more involved in Neighbours Aotearoa, helping to feed in ideas and learn together, you might like to join Kaitautoko.

Every day, every week and every month is a great time to connect with your neighbours! Make the most of it.

Thanks for planting the seeds, for your commitment and interest to making this year’s campaign a success and for allowing Neighbours Aotearoa to grow into a colourful garden of connections around the motu!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
