Do you think the Mangamuka Gorge is open for long enough?

Denise Piper Reporter from Whangārei Leader

State Highway 1 at the Mangamuka Gorge opens at midday on Friday to one-way traffic for the first time since Northland's one-in-500-year storm closed the road with a series of major slips five months ago. But the road is only open until January 11, meaning traffic will have to use SH10 again after that. Do you think it is open for long enough or should it stay open until the busy summer holiday period is over?
