The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
UK, 2023, Drama, 102 mins, Rated M
Cast: Jim Broadbent, Penelope Wilton. Linda Bassett, Earl Cave
Director: Hettie Macdonald

One bright morning in Devon, Mild-mannered pensioner Harold Fry (Jim Broadbent) takes a stroll to the postbox. But for some reason he can’t bring himself to post the letter he's written . It’s just a few stunted lines on headed notepaper, a reply to his old friend and former work colleague, Queenie who, Harold learned recently, has terminal cancer.

It's then that a chance encounter in a petrol station helps Harold to discover a new purpose: he'll walk the 400 odd miles from Devon to Berwick-upon-Tweed, where Queenie is receiving palliative care in hospice, and give her his note in person.
