Northland’s favourite community event!
ArtBeat is happening for the 24th year on the 1st of February 2020 from 10am to 4pm! ArtBeat is a free, fun, interactive event with seven different zones to entertain every member of the family, from the curious toddler, gamer teen, shopaholic parents and music lovers alike.
Creative Northland is excited to once again bring together local organisations and community members to participate in this creative, colourful, summer event.
A highlight of the event is Resene’s Interactive Zone, the hub of all things creative! Kids and parents can try out over ten free hands-on art activities which will keep them entertained for hours, such as painting with Resene paints, spin art, giant bubbles, harakeke, carving and more.
Whether you already know and love ArtBeat, or want a fun free family day in great surroundings of beautiful Cafler Park, then roll on up - you won't be disappointed.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
