Cannabis referendum: Draft bill released
RNZ published an article today that contains a link to the draft of the Cannabis Legalisation and Control Bill which we get to vote for or against in one of next year's referenda.
There will be a lot of misinformation, fake news and confusion about this bill in the media over the next nine to ten months, so for those of us (like me) who rather get it directly from the source, we can now have a first read of the proposed legislation and follow the government's process as the bill is debated and refined.
Since we have unfortunately seen an increase in trolling and inappropriate comments in our area lately, I decided to disable replies for this post, apologies for that. It is merely meant as an announcement, and to provide access to the aforementioned resources.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
