ESOL Home Tutor Training - New Course Starting
Do you want to make a difference in our community?
Would you like to help a new Kiwi feel more at home here?
If you would like to teach English to new migrants and help them settle into our community with the Kiwi way of life, English Language Partners has the answer. We provide a 20 + hour training course and on-going support for your volunteer teaching role. Our tutors mainly work from the learner’s home, but can also use the spacious ELPNZ premises upstairs at 10 Rathbone Street.
The next will be on 29th June. On completion of the course and assessment tasks, you will receive a Certificate in Home Tutoring endorsed by the NZQA. The course consists of a 2 1/2 day classroom programme, with a 2 hour one-on-one follow up.
This is a volunteer role. Through your kindness and generosity you could make a real difference to people in your community whilst learning about other cultures and making new friends along the way. phone 4382512 for more information
International Volunteer Day - 5th December 2024
This International Volunteer Day on December 5th, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy, and hearts to help others. The theme this year 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 reminds us that volunteering comes in all shapes and sizes, and there’s a way for everyone to contribute.
Volunteering though isn’t just about one day, it happens every single day, in big ways and small. To everyone who steps up to lend a hand, support their community, or just make someone’s day brighter, thank you.
