Brian from Central Whangarei

298,400kms
2.4 Diesel
2WD
5 speed manual
Six seats with seat belts
Mags
New tyres
Reconditioned gearbox
Canopy
Towbar
Fairly new battery
Central locking
Immobiliser
Current rego - October '18
Current wof - April 18
Soft roof racks included

Presented in 'rough, but reliable' condition, my old workhorse is now surplus to requirement and is looking for a new home.

I bought her to move house and lug renovation materials about the place - that work is now substantially done.

Recently she's been demoted to 'commuter'.

She hates it.

She prefers to work.

I've had her for ten years and the only time she ever let me down was last year when the gearbox went.

When I asked my mechanic if it was worth repairing her, he looked at me as if I was mad and said:

'It's a Hilux - you've only just run it in!'

Hence I had the gearbox reconditioned.

She's one of the last of the New Zealand assembled Hiluxes, so that's a piece of history.

No major rust - just the mandatory surface stuff around scuffs.

Rear passenger side door is in primer - had to replace it for a warrant a couple of years ago. Window seals failed at some point in it's history and that door eventually rotted out at the bottom.

No major dings - just the usual war wounds of a twenty year old ute who has worked for living.

Like I said - rough, but reliable.

She's been in daily use, regularly serviced, is cheap to run and starts first time every time.

You should take a test drive today.

International Volunteer Day - 5th December 2024

Kristi Neighbourly Lead from Tikipunga

This International Volunteer Day on December 5th, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy, and hearts to help others. The theme this year ๐’๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐„๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐ž reminds us that volunteering comes in all shapes and sizes, and thereโ€™s a way for everyone to contribute.

Volunteering though isnโ€™t just about one day, it happens every single day, in big ways and small. To everyone who steps up to lend a hand, support their community, or just make someoneโ€™s day brighter, thank you.
