Any old gumboots lying around?

The Ministry for Primary Industries is raising awareness around kauri dieback disease. They need your old gumboots to fill and paint them, then place them around kauri trees, to keep people on the tracks and off the tree roots!

Whangarei Central Library is a gumboot collection point so bring your old gum boots next time you’re in.

I was hoping to be able to bring my wheelchair to the Orchard tomorrow 6th May I want to get the hot desking underway I have major disabilities so may need some help and some flexibility from the Orchard.
Just to refresh I run a business Website Design Whangarei. I do not get enough work. I have airway and voice issues so may be puffed and not speak well when answering the phone at home, this makes it hard to get customers.
I am hoping hot-desking at the Orchard and the chance to market with like minded people will give me the opportunity to progress.

I am doing the pick at the Orchard 8 weeks in I have not missed a class. I am putting in the effort.

I am very involved at community level currently Chairman of DPA Northland and Co-Chair of WDC disability advisory group.

Also looking forward to seeing what's happening in The Strand in the CBD with CTN

Hello everyone. an UPDATE: The dog park looks ready however it should be a few more weeks yet. The grass looks good however there are areas were the birds ate large patches needed to be reseeded. The moulds still growing.

Some of the issues, the grass needs water to grow and since the good drainage it had to be hand watered. The council still needs to put in a water tap by the shelter which would make it easier to water patches.

The GOOD NEWS, so many people loved the dog park and missing it.
# Tony Gill will be doing dog training lessons at the small dog park soon.
# Whangarei District Council now knows dog owners are important in the community.
# Other councils in NZ are watching the progress.
