The Sunday Star-Times is looking to speak to a patient who has recently had some experience of the health system - either receiving treatment in a hospital or clinic or at an ED - and would be willing to talk about their experience, and how it could have been made better, either by shorter wait times, better communication or level of care. International Volunteer Day - 5th December 2024
This International Volunteer Day on December 5th, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy, and hearts to help others. The theme this year 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 reminds us that volunteering comes in all shapes and sizes, and there’s a way for everyone to contribute.
Volunteering though isn’t just about one day, it happens every single day, in big ways and small. To everyone who steps up to lend a hand, support their community, or just make someone’s day brighter, thank you.
