A VERY SPECIAL Event for New Zealand....
This is a SHOUT OUT to put a circle around Sunday 27th October. On this day a Dawn Blessing & Opening Ceremony will take place on the kainga alongside Kororipo Pā to honour our past and herald the beginning of Tūhono Kerikeri bicentennial celebrations - 200 years!
Everyone is welcome to come along and experience being part of this wonderful 'once in a lifetime' cultural and historical dawn ceremony.
Venue: Kororipo Heritage Park (Kerikeri Basin)
5.00am: Gather in the carpark at the bottom of Kerikeri Road
5.30am: Together we will walk the track up onto the kainga of Kororipo Pā
6.00am: Dawn Blessing
10.00pm: Official Opening

And, on October 23rd (a couple of days before the Celebrations begin) we are publishing a SPECIAL Publication that tells stories from our past and stories of our future. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
