I was just thinking that with more people home, eating, drinking, etc more that it would be a timely reminder to continue to watch our water usage. We need our dam levels to increase and our tanks to fill up. Even though summer is a fair way off, we need to be mindful of the possiblity of another dry summer & be well prepared in advance. Take care all and good luck with your lockdown 'to do' lists.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who have been working so hard this summer. It has been a really big season, with the drought keeping our gardening team busy watering. Thankfully we have a lake, so no shortage of water. Well now our volunteers, like everyone else, can take time to rest and recover. They have certainly earned it, and I know they will be itching to get back into it now that the rain has come and planting season is upon us.
Please stay safe everyone. We look forward to seeing you back in the Gardens soon.

There are plenty of ways to keep in touch and support one another over the next several weeks. Just don't forget about those with limited internet or mobile phone access!

Officials say Northland's drought is far from over and Whangārei residents could be using next summer's water supply if we have a dry winter. Are you still saving water? Are you finding it easier or harder now we are seeing autumn weather?

Hi Everyone! We need logs for our fire. They will have to be fairly small, as the box is small. We'd also need them delivered. We live in Maunu Road. Thanks for your help. Keep Safe.
