Governance That Adds Value - Online Training Series
This practical 4-session workshop will cover the basics of what good governance looks like, and will provide tools for ensuring a board is effective in adding value to the important work that your organisation does.
This workshop is suitable for both new and experienced board members.
It is recommended that at least two people from a board participate to gain maximum benefit for the organisation.
We also encourage organisations to bring a young participant FREE of charge if they are a 'Young Adult' aged 17- 30 years. This person does not have to be an existing board member, but someone involved in the organisation that would benefit from this Professional Development.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
