Our local native bush and walkway under threat
Do you enjoy a walk or a cycle ride along the Orewa river? Part of this walkway is under threat from development of more houses. We don't want to see parts of this bush area at Arran Point disappear.
Arran Point SEA (significant ecological area) has a huge impact on our environment with it's diversity, mature native trees and bird habitat.
Please help sign the petition created by Rochelle MeHarry to 'Stop the removal of native Bush on Arran Point on the Te Ara Tahuna estuary walk' chng.it...

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
60.4% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
24% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
15.6% ... It is complicated
